Text Message Not Sent Notification won't go away

The default Text Messaging application for Droid doesn't show you the undeliverable message queue and will continue to send the message and fail. Even if you clear the notification bar, it will return. Rebooting the phone won't help either.
  • Install the Handcent SMS application from the Android Market
  • Open Handcent SMS
  • Go to Menu ->More + -> Undelivered messages
  • You can see the message(s) that have not been delivered and delete them.
If you want to use the Handcent App as your default messaging app, go to the Android Text Messaging app, Menu->Settings, then uncheck Notifications.
