Summer Collaborators Program

The School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study invites applications from collaborators who would like to meet during the summer months to further their research project.

Thanks to a generous grant from the National Science Foundation, we provide travel funds, local housing, per diem, office space, and excellent library and computer facilities for up to six small groups (of 2-5 people each, all having PhDs) for periods of 2 to 4 weeks during the summer (between June 1 - July 31). Our campus is located in Princeton, New Jersey, about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia.

We encourage applications from those with limited access to other research funding. In order for us to accommodate the greatest number of selected applicants, we ask that any member of your group who has external financial support to please access those funds first.

The application deadline is December 1, , and successful applicants will be notified in February . Please email any questions to summercollaborators@math.ias.edu
