Toggle Signature in Thunderbird

Having a signature is a good way of automatically signing your e-mails.  But, what if you don't need a verbose signature all the time?  Or what if you only want certain information displayed to certain people.

Stock Thunderbird only allows you to configure your signature in the Account Settings section.  If you want to change your signature, you'd have to change this option each time before you compose an e-mail.  Or you will have to edit/delete the signature everytime you want to change it.

There is an Add-On that allows you to choose different signatures and to toggle the signature on/off.  It's called Signature Switch

Now, when you compose a message, just go to Options->Signature Switch.

The first time you run Signature Switch, go to Options->Main.  Click on New and add your signature(s).  You can also create Keyboard shortcuts, so that you don't have to use the Menu each time.

After you configure your options,  either use your keyboard shortcuts to change/toggle Signature, or go to the Menu: Options->Signature Switch->Signature on/off or Options->Signature Switch-><name of signature>
