I got my PhD at Harvard in 2007 under the supervision of Richard Taylor. I have grown up in Seoul, South Korea before coming to Harvard. I am a big fan of the book “The geometry and cohomology of some simple Shimura varieties” (Annals of Mathematics Studies 151, 2001) authored by M. Harris and R. Taylor. My thesis is built upon this work, many papers of Robert Kottwitz, and other fabulous works.

Currently I am a post-doc at the IAS. I will start working at the University of Chicago as a Dickson Instructor from Jan 2009.
