Bio

I am on sabbatical leave from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky, where I am part of the Discrete Mathematics group. My homepage can be found here.

I have been awarded a five year Simons Foundation Collaboration grant beginning July 2011.

During the academic year 2006-2007, I was on sabbatical leave at MIT.

Invited to attend the five day workshop on Quasisymmetric Functions at the Banff International Research Station (BIRS). Louis Billera, Sara Billey and Richard Stanley are organizing this workshop. (November 14-19, 2010)

Talk at the Rutgers Experimental Mathematics Seminar. (December 2, 2010)

Georgia Benkart, Monica Vazirani and Stephanie van Willigenburg are organizing Algebraic Combinatorixx, a collaborative research and mentoring workshop for female combinatorialists, at BIRS. I have been invited to participate as a senior faculty member. (May 2011)

Invited speaker in the "Polyhedra in Algebraic Combinatorics" Invited Paper Session at the 2011 MAA Mathfest organized by Benjamin Braun. (August 2011)

2009-2010

Talk in the University of Kentucky Math Club. (February 17, 2010)

Co-organizing the NSF-funded workshop Combinatorics 2010: Advances, Trends and Speculations , DMS-1024407 (March 26, 2010). The keynote speakers are Sara Billey (U Washington), Patricia Hersh (North Carolina State), Isabella Novik (U Washington) and Stephanie van Willigenburg (U British Columbia).

Richard Ehrenborg and I are organizing the special session Advances in Algebraic & Geometric Combinatorics at the AMS Spring Southeastern Sectional Meeting being being held at the University of Kentucky (March 27-28, 2010). Doron Zeilberger will be giving the 2010 Erdös Memorial Lecture.
