Agenda
(click for Agenda)

On the occasion of the sixty-first birthday of Pierre Deligne, the School of Mathematics will be hosting a four-day conference,
"Geometry and Arithmetic" during the period of October 17 to and including October 20, 2005.  The objectives of the
conference are to bring together scholars from a variety of mathematical fields with a common interest in the methods
and ideas that Deligne has introduced into mathematics and to describe some recent advances in different areas of
mathematics in a way that is accessible to non-experts from other fields.

Some funds are available for travel and accommodation for students and young mathematicians attending the conference.
To apply for support, send a statement with a description of interests and accomplishments as well as your CV to:
Michelle Huguenin(),
Institute for Advanced Study,
School of Mathematics,
Einstein Drive,
Princeton, NJ 08540.
In addition, ask that a letter of recommendation, by a mathematician who knows your research, be sent to the same address.
Also, please indicate if you wish to share accommodations and a list will be compiled and sent to those interested in sharing.

Please note that conference attendees are expected to pay for their lunch.  Approximate range of prices
is $4.00 for a salad to $9.00 for an entree.  Vegetarian lunches will be available.
