postdoctoral positions
The School of Mathematics is offering a number of funded memberships for research in Theoretical Computer Science and Discrete Mathematics (TCS/DM). Research subjects include, but are not limited to:
- Computational Complexity
- Algorithms
- Optimization
- Cryptography
- Combinatorics and Graph Theory
- Discrete Probability.
The TCS/DM program is led by Avi Wigderson.
The positions are for one year, with a possibility of extension to two years. The application deadline for the next academic year is December 1. Candidates must have given evidence of ability in research comparable at least with that expected for the P.h. D. degree.
In addition to the IAS positions, there are two other kinds of positions which are joint with nearby institutions. One is a 2-year joint IAS/DIMACS postdoctoral position. The other is a Veblen Research Instructorship, a 3-year position joint with Princeton University.
