How do I change my unix password?

At a terminal prompt, type: 
passwd

It will ask you to type in your existing password. Afterwards, type in your new password. It will ask you to confirm it again. Hit enter, and then you're done.

Note: You need to use number(s), lowercase and uppercase letters or you will get the error: 

Constraint violation
If you still get the error, try adding symbol(s) to your password.
